Let’s recap the past few months: First, someone mashed up Weezer instrumentals with Kanye West, creating the brilliant Yeezer project. Then, less than a year after the release of Everything Will Be Alright In The End, news leaked that the band was dropping a brand new single, “Thank God For Girls.” We first heard it via a live bootleg, then via a bizarre-as-hell lyric video. Then, just as everyone finished digesting that number, the band announced—surprise!—another brand new song, called “Do You Wanna Get High?” which is (in this writer’s humble opinion) totally awesome. Now, we’ve received the official music video for “Thank God For Girls,” and it is as ridiculous as expected, with frontman Rivers Cuomo playing the role of a corrupt preacher shaking down his congregation for poker money. Watch away:

Weezer has a trio of holiday dates on their calendar:

Dec 08 105.7 The Point’s HoHo Shows St Louis, MO w/Wavves
Dec 10 FM 102/1’s Big Snow Show Milwaukee, WI w/Glass Animals, X Ambassadors
Dec 11 Live 105’s Night So Silent Night Oakland, CA w/Death Cab For Cutie
