We here at Substream are huge fans of Motion City Soundtrack—so much so that we put them on the cover of our new issue, available now. Furthermore, we think that Team MCS made one hell of a record with the recently released Panic Stations, with songs ranging from lyrically poignant (“I Can Feel You,” “Days Will Run Away”) to musically powerful (“Gravity,” “It’s A Pleasure To Meet You”) to downright poppy (“TKO,” “Lose Control”). So we convinced the guys to give us a quick look inside the recording process for Panic Stations, which they made last summer with producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, the Hold Steady). Check it out below, and pick up Panic Stations right now via Epitaph Records.
