Jimmy Eat World side project the Wretched Desert releases new song, “Dead Reckoning”

We first brought you news of the Wretched Desert’s formation a few months ago. The duo, comprised of Jimmy Eat World drummer Zach Lind and his wife, Holly, released their three-song debut EP, Street Lights, earlier this year but already have more material in the pipeline. First up? A brand new song titled “Dead Reckoning,” a buzzing electro-pop number that feels like a cousin of the Faint’s Danse Macabre and contains some guest guitarwork from Robin Vining of instrumental video game rock band Minibosses (Vining has also been a touring member of Jimmy Eat World for the last few years). You can stream the track below and purchase it now via iTunes. The Wretched Desert has yet to announce any live performances, but if and when they do, we’ll be sure to let you know.
