Savannah, Georgia hardcore band Black Tusk have announced that they’ll release their fifth full-length, Pillars of Ash, January 29 on Relapse Records. The band premiered the album’s first single, “God’s on Vacation,” at NPR. Stream it below.

Black Tusk recorded Pillars of Ash with engineer Joel Grind in 2014, but completion of the album was set back by the tragic passing of founding bassist and vocalist Jonathan Athon last November. The remaining members — guitarist Andrew Fidler and drummer James May — pressed on, however, recruiting former Kylesa bassist Corey Barhorst.

The band released the Vulture’s Eye EP last year.
