Things have been quiet in the Rocket Summer camp recently: The last time we heard new music from Bryce Avary was in 2012 with the release of Life Will Write The Words. But all that’s about to change, as Avary is launching a PledgeMusic campaign to help fund his new album. The record, currently untitled appears to be completed, judging by Avary’s remarks both in the video on his PledgeMusic page as well as the text that accompanies it, in which he writes:
“I locked myself away for longer than ever to put my absolute everything into writing and recording an endless amount of new music that would push me further creatively than any of my previous albums. The result is an album that has it’s own special, unique sound that I couldn’t be more excited about and am so ready to share with you.”
Among the more limited items available in the campaign are a signed test press of the new album for $150, the jean jacket he wore on the cover of Of Men And Angels for $450 and the original painting for Avary’s debut album, Calendar Days, for a whopping $4,000.
Avary promises a slew of information to follow in the coming weeks, including an album title, album artwork, a release date and headlining tour dates. In the meantime, you can check out his PledgeMusic page and sample a new song here.
