So Blues Traveler, 3OH!3 and a guy from *NSYNC walk into a ‘Grand Theft Auto’ simulator…

No, that headline is not a setup for the weirdest joke ever: It’s actually real. ’90s rock act Blues Traveler, who recently released Blow Up The Moona Warped Tour-friendly new album chock-full of collaborations, has issued a music video for that album’s title track, featuring 3OH!3 and JC Chasez of *NSYNC. Only it’s not a regular music video; as the press release trumpets, it is the first of its kind, shot using the Rockstar Games Rockstar Editor, “a feature in Grand Theft Auto V for PC that allows players to record, edit and share videos created from footage in both Story Mode and GTA Online.” (So you can blame Rockstar Games for this existing, I guess.)

Not only do 3OH!3 and *NSYNC’s JC Chasez perform on the track, but they are also prominently featured in the music video, which finds the band and their remarkably unenthusiastic collaborators bouncing around in virtual cars, trucks, planes and more. However, be warned: The song is, inexplicably, nearly five minutes long and has a very, very repetitive chorus—and as you can probably tell by Chasez’s expression in the video still below, he looks as excited to sing it as you might be excited to hear it. I guess it’s true what they say: The hook brings you back…
