Canadian quartet Born Ruffians is currently streaming their new single “When Things Get Pointless I Roll Away” from their full-length Ruff set to be released on October 2.

Born Ruffians has been compared to bands such as the Talking Heads, the Pixies and the Strokes.

You can listen to the track below:

Earlier this month, Born Ruffians premiered the music for their first single off Ruff, “We Made It.” You can watch the video below:

Ruff contains a mixture of songs that have been written throughout the past two years. The band returned to Rusty Santos (Animal Collective, Owen Pallett, Eric Copeland), who had produced their first two albums, to mix Ruff in New York, and Jeff McMurrich (The Constantines, Fucked Up, Jennifer Castle) recorded the feature in three weeks in Toronto.

Ruff is available for preorder in Canada on Paper Bag Records. The full-length can be preordered everywhere else on Yep Roc Records.
