Shared 7″ announced by Dead Leaves and PINE coming in November

Take This to Heart Records has announced a shared 7″ between Cleveland-based rockers Dead Leaves and Ontario emo band PINE entitled Split. The record will be released November 6 not only on 7″, but almost digitally.

The track-listing gives each artist two songs switching back and forth between each other, starting with Dead Leaves and ending with PINE. Both bands tackle the issues of love and death and leave an emotional imprint as you more through the record. “Recycled Air” is the third song on Split. Dead Leaves vocalist/guitarist Elliot Blair explains the process of writing the song:  “I started writing ‘Recycled Air’ in February and kind of set it aside until my Dad passed away. I picked the song back up and finished it out of anger, frustration and sadness.” PINE’s ending song “Lopri” moves back and forth from soothing to angry vocals from Darlene Deschamps.

Pre-order Split here if you enjoy acts such as Brand New, Balance and Composure, Say Anything, Field Mouse and Lydia.
