Season five of HBO’s smash series Game Of Thrones came to an end a few weeks ago, and 8.11 million people tuned in live to watch the finale and find out what happened to Sansa Stark, Stannis Baratheon and, most importantly, the series’ true hero, Jon Snow. To put that number into perspective: The population of New York City is 8.17 million people. So yeah, a shit-ton of people love Game Of Thrones. Comparatively, Weezer’s self-titled debut LP has sold 3.55 million copies to date, which is like if you add together the populations of Houston and Phoenix. So the odds of there being a bit of crossover between fans of House Stark and House Cuomo are pretty strong, though we never expected this to come out of it: Presenting to you “Say It Ain’t Snow,” a musical tribute to one of Weezer’s best songs and one of entertainment’s best programs, that is loaded from front to back with serious, serious spoilers for both the books and the TV show. Basically, it’s a four-minute rundown of how every single likeable character on Game Of Thrones (and plenty of unlikeable ones, too) has met their demise throughout the past five seasons. And given the army of White Walkers moving south, we expect the death toll to rise in season 6—maybe what’s left of the Stark clan should head to an “Island In The Sun” to get away from winter, as it is assuredly coming.
