Senses Fail’s Buddy Nielsen partners with Punk Out to host LGBTQ-themed discussions at Warped Tour

We first brought you news of Punk Out, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and education of the LGBTQ community created specifically with the modern punk scene in mind, a few months back. Since then, the group has been very active on social media and has spoken with members of August Burns Red, Candy Hearts and more about LGBTQ issues in the punk community, but now they’re taking it to where the discussion might matter most: the Warped Tour. Punk Out is partnering up with current Substream cover star Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail [pictured] to put on a series of discussion panels called “What Needs to Be Done?” According to Punk Out, the purpose of these discussions are to “help bring about the change our scene needs to ensure the safety and inclusion of all its members. We hope these discussions can help educate members of the scene, and make the tour, and the scene in general, a safe, comfortable space for all genders, races, and identities.” The “What Needs To Be Done?” discussions will take place on the following dates at Warped Tour and are open to all attendees (and folks on the tour, as well); email to RSVP:

7/10 – Camden, NJ
7/11 – Wantagh, NY
7/19 – Holmdel, NJ

The Punk Out team is disappointed in the decision to allow Front Porch Step to appear at Warped Tour in Nashville, TN…
