San Francisco black metal band Deafheaven have announced that they will release their new full-length, New Bermuda, Oct. 2 on Epitaph Records sister label ANTI.  While Deafheaven wrote and recorded as a trio for their previous full-length — 2013’s critically acclaimed Sunbather — newest members Stephen Lee Clark and Shiv Mehra join frontman George Clarke, guitarist Kerry McCoy, and drummer Dan Tracy on New Bermuda. The band also returned to Atomic Garden Recording with producer and engineer Jack Shirley, who worked with the band on their two previous full-lengths. Additional recording was done at 25th Street Recording in Oakland.

Clarke said the title “New Bermuda” refers to “a new destination in life, a nebulous point of arrival, and an unknown future where things get swallowed up and dragged into darkness.”
