Reggie And The Full Effect plot ‘Promotional Copy’ anniversary tour with Pentimento, the Weaks

1981

Anniversary tours are all the rage these days, aren’t they? Sure, it’s a bit of a nostalgia cash-in, but as long as I get to see some of my favorite bands playing some of my favorite records, I’m okay with it. So when word came out that Reggie And The Full Effect—aka James Dewees and whoever else he can rope in—were planning a tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his sophomore album (and Vagrant Records debut) Promotional Copy, I got tingly inside, like that time I climbed the rope in gym class. It’s only a 10-date trek through the East Coast and Midwest, but it features Pentimento and the Weaks, so that bill alone should justify whatever roadtrip costs you may incur attending. Dates:

7/22 – Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
7/23 – Asbury Park, NJ @ Asbury Lanes
7/24 – Philadelphia, PA @ North Star Bar
7/25 – New York, NY @ Webster Hall (Marlin Room)
7/26 – Cambridge, MA @ Middle East (downstairs)
7/28 – Pittsburgh, PA @ Altar Bar
7/29 – Buffalo, NY @ The Waiting Room (downstairs)
7/30 – Cleveland Heights, OH @ Grog Shop
7/31 – Ferndale, MI @ The Loving Touch
8/1 – DeKalb, IL @ The House Cafe

And in case you don’t remember how good this album is, here you go:
