Well Kept Things know a thing or two about depression. They’re from Buffalo, New York—aka That Place That Gets Roughly 13 Million Feet Of Snow Each Winter—so even though they play an infectious strain of emo-flecked pop-punk on their new EP, Homegrown, there’s more to their lyrics than just singing about friendships and pizza. This is the reason why the lyric video for “Younger” is so perfect—it’s literally about eating pizza with your friends, only it’s not as glamorous as you might think. Bassist Christian Adams comments:
“We wanted the video to be simple and fun. ‘Younger’ is our summer song so we thought it appropriate with our summer release. Roll your windows down, kiss the sun and eat pizza.”
Homegrown will be released June 16 on Antique Records and can be pre-ordered here.
