Atlanta-based six-piece Native Suns got their start when guitarist Michael Matejick wanted to try something new, following the breakup of his former band, Rise Records prog-metalcore act Of Machines. Matejick wanted to explore different sounds, and Native Suns became the conduit for that—since their 2012 formation, the band have sculpted tons of demos that are both ethereal and heavy-hitting, with soaring guitar lines and intensely cathartic vocals. Yet their short career has been filled with starts and stops (and lineup changes), leaving many to wonder if the band would ever get off the ground at all. Well wonder no more: Native Suns’ debut EP, Relay. Acquire., is completed, and we are thrilled to be debuting the Travis Lamb-directed music video for one of the tracks off that release, “Lost.” Matejick explains:

“The video for ‘Lost’ follows the premise of an inner struggle between good and evil. It is a literal adaptation of the title itself… a lost soul who can’t give up a part of himself to move forward. We are all lost until we find balance within ourselves.”

Relay. Aquire. comes out June 25.
