Are you one of those people who complain every summer that “there are no punk bands on Warped Tour anymore”? (Don’t lie: You know you are.) Well, you’re in luck, because Kevin Lyman has created a brand new festival called It’s Not Dead, which will take place on Oct. 10, 2015 at San Manuel Amphitheater Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, California—exactly one week after the revived Taste Of Chaos festival which will feature Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Thrice, Glassjaw and more. It’s Not Dead is geared exclusively to those who pine for punk’s glory years—I mean, just look at this lineup:
Reel Big Fish
Less Than Jake
Duane Peters Gunfight
Plus there will be a whole buncha skateboard demos featuring the likes of Steve Caballero, Mike Frazier and more, as well as book signings from punk authors, an art exhibit curated by photographer Lisa Johnson and lord knows what else—plus kids 10 and under get in free. Tickets start at $25 and go on sale at ItsNotDeadFestival.com on Monday, June 22, and there will be an option for camping if you want to be around smelly punks in both the figurative and literal twilight hours.
