Two Ohio-based bands are going to release a split 7-inch on an Ohio-based label, and you won’t be able to get it unless you’re in Ohio. And even then, you won’t be able to buy it. How’s that? Well, Cleveland’s Escapist Records is celebrating its 10th anniversary this August with a label showcase that will feature a number of Escapist acts past and present, including Columbus, Ohio’s Reverse The Curse [pictured] and Akron, Ohio’s My Mouth Is The Speaker. To help celebrate, those two bands are releasing a split 7-inch on Escapist that will be given away at the door to every ticketholder as a thank-you gift for coming.

RTC will contribute an acoustic version of “Carer” from their 2013 album Existent, whereas MMITS are including a brand new song titled “A Glimpse Of Comfort.” (If that song is anywhere close to as good as their 2014 EP In Focus, we’re all in for one hell of a treat.)

The 7-inch will be limited to 200 copies on random-colored vinyl and will not be for sale anywhere else, so if you really want one, you better plan a trip to Cleveland this August, otherwise set your eBay alerts now.
