Milemarker return from the dead with first new song in 10 years, “Conditional Love”

Once upon a time, there was an awesome mathy post-hardcore/synth-punk band from North Carolina called Milemarker. They put out some killer records on labels like Lovitt and Jade Tree, toured with some killer bands like the Blood Brothers and Cave In, then, as most bands do, faded away into the darkness as their members grew up and pursued other interests. Luckily, two of Milemarker’s three founding members, bassist/vocalist Al Burian and guitarist Dave Laney, both ended up in Germany in recent years, which means the band have now re-formed with new drummer Manuel Chittka and plan on releasing a new album later this year. Hear that currently untitled album’s first song, “Conditional Love,” below. This is the group’s first new material since 2005’s Ominosity.

The trio have announced a series of German shows this summer; dates:

FRI 26 JUNE Komet Musik BarHamburg, Germany
SAT 27 JUNE Fusion FestivalLärz, Germany
SAT 18 JULY Schokoladen 25th Anniversary Fest Berlin, Germany
