Frank Turner to release new album, ‘Positive Songs For Negative People,’ this summer

Whaddya know: Today is Man Crush Monday, and Frank Turner just announced the title of his new album. Coincidence? I think not. In Turner’s most recent email newsletter, the singer/songwriter revealed the following information about his upcoming record, produced by Butch Walker:

“The new album, my sixth, will be called ‘POSITIVE SONGS FOR NEGATIVE PEOPLE.’ It’s a record about survival, defiance, about picking yourself up when you’re down, and the title reflects that. It came from a late night drunk conversation with an old friend, I was trying to explain what I do for a living, and, well, it just came out like that.”

While no release date has been announced yet, we can confirm the album will be out this summer via Interscope/Xtra Mile. You can hear a new song, “Get Better,” below:

Turner has also announced two headlining dates for this fall over on the East Coast, with many more to soon follow:

25th September, House Of Blues, Boston, MA, USA
28th September, Irving Plaza, New York, NY, USA
