The tough thing about reuniting is that at some point, you need to decide whether you’re going to make a new record or just live off nostalgia. The Early November committed themselves to being a fully functioning band after reuniting a few years ago, and their second post-reunion album, Imbue, has the potential of being their best work to date. It’s a lively, aggressive, catchy-as-hell rock record that gives you everything you always liked about TEN as well as plenty of new elements. Today we’re happy to bring you a brand new track called “Cyanide” which is sure to get your head bobbing and your vocal cords throbbing as you yell along with Ace Enders. Drummer Jeff Kummer talks about the track:

“Recording this album was unlike anything we’ve done before. Half of the songs were tracked in 2013 and the other half toward the end of last year. ‘Cyanide’ was done in the last batch. I think your normal TEN fan will grab on to this one pretty quick because it has bits and pieces of what we’ve done over the years sprinkled all over it. It’s one of my favorite songs on the album.”

Imbue comes out May 12 via Rise Records and can be pre-ordered physically and digitally now.
