EXCLUSIVE: Living Room sing about love, laundry and lost lighters in “Moonchaser” music video

On their new album, Moonchaser, self-described “dreamo” quartet Living Room play melodic, aggressive, emotionally charged music that carries with it a timeless vibe and, frankly, brings all sorts of feels. So for their music video for the album’s title track, the band went with a straightforward narrative that tells the story of lost love (and we give them bonus points for having two female leads, instead of the same ol’ trope of boy-girl romance). The band explain the story behind the video:

“When we were thinking about ideas for the video, we knew we wanted it to go along with the subject of the song, which focuses on the tail end of a long relationship. We especially liked the line in the first verse about lighters, so we decided to follow a Bic as it flows in and out of the narrative told by the interaction between the two main characters. The typical fate of a lighter is that it gets lent out and never returned, or it stops working altogether, much like the relationship the song is written about.”

Moonchaser is available now physically and digitally via Jetsam-Flotsam.
