Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst’s reformed punk rock outlet Desaparecidos — who also include fellow Omaha musicians Denver Dalley, Ian McElroy, Landon Hedges, and Matt Baum — have announced a pair of record release shows to coincide with their forthcoming album Payola. The band will play two nights in Brooklyn, appearing at Shea Stadium on June 25, and then at Rough Trade on June 26. Both of those venues have a capacity of fewer than 300, so those interested should probably not sleep on obtaining tickets (which go on sale tomorrow, and they can be found here and here).

Payola, due for a June 23 release, is Desaparecidos’ long-awaited follow-up to Read Music/Speak Spanish, which was released back in 2002 on the Omaha-based Saddle Creek Records. The band announced their signing to Epitaph Records earlier this year.

In addition to their two Brooklyn dates, Desaparecidos will make several festival appearances, including one at this year’s Fest in Gainesville. See a complete list of dates, and view the new video for “City on a Hill,” below.
