Joey Sturgis — the recording engineer responsible for producing records for Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada, and Emmure — has teamed up with fellow producers Eyal Levi (August Burns Red, The Black Dahlia Murder) and Joel Wanasek (Trapt, Phinehas) to launch The Joey Sturgis Forum Podcast. The podcast aired its first episode, “Food for Success,” on Tuesday.

“I feel like we’re just trying to convey how the industry has affected us,” Sturgis said in a promotional teaser. “We’re talking about the industry — we’re talking about techniques but we’re [also] talking about the life and lifestyle of audio. Keep it real, keep it entertaining, keep it honest.”

Sturgis, Levi, and Wanasek said they will produce five monthly podcasts covering the music industry, including aspects of production, marketing, and touring. The three collaborated with sponsors CreativeLive, who have previously featured Sturgis and Levi as instructors for some of the organization’s online courses.
