The Suicide Machines plot ‘Destruction By Definition’ tour with Derek Grant on drums

One of the most important bands to come out of the ’90s ska-punk scene ever, the Suicide Machines have been on-again, off-again for a number of years since reuniting in 2009. But this April, the band will fire up the engines for their most extensive tour to date, a two-week run through the Midwest and East Coast that will find the Motor City madmen playing their classic debut album Destruction By Definition. If that’s not enough of a selling point, original Suicide Machines drummer Derek Grant will be joining them behind the kit for the entire tour. This is the first time the longtime Alkaline Trio drummer will tour as a member of the Suicide Machines since 1998, and is a really big deal for nerds like me.

The tour will be opened by Break Anchor (featuring Suicide Machines frontman Jay Navarro), Derek Grant performing solo and Bastardous (featuring Suicide Machines bassist Rich Tschirhart). Sounds like it’ll be a busy night for these gents! Dates can be found right below an embed of this editor’s favorite DxD song:
