Pearl Jam’s old drummer is currently on the run from Texas police for dealing drugs

Before today, Dave Abbruzzese was best known for his time spent drumming for Pearl Jam, having manned the kit for two of their early albums, the seven-times platinum Vs. and its more experimental follow-up, the five-times platinum Vitalogy. (Holy hell, Pearl Jam sold a lot of records in the ]90s.) After today, well, that might change: He is currently wanted by the Denton County Police in Denton, Texas, for multiple charges, including the manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance—aka dealing drugs. That is a class-A felony, which could result in anywhere between five and 99 years in prison. He is also facing a second charge for possession of a controlled substance for an amount under 28 grams, class-A misdemeanor that could land him in county jail for a year and pay up to $4,000 in fines. So, yeah, not the best day for this guy right now.

Here’s Abbruzzese’s most recent mugshot; a $1,000 reward is being offered if you can provide information leading to his arrest.

Here’s Abbruzzese in what were most likely decidedly better days (while he did not record on this song, he is in the music video):
