New Steve Aoki album to feature Rivers Cuomo, Linkin Park—and J.J. Abrams?

EDM party boy Steve Aoki just announced the details of his new album, Neon Future II, the sequel to last year’s Neon Future I (as if you couldn’t figure that out for yourself). And as with the first Neon Future, there are a whole bevy of special guests collaborating with Aoki on this album, including Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, Linkin Park, Levi Dylan (aka the grandson of Bob Dylan), Snoop Lion and—wait, seriously?—J.J. Abrams, the guy best known for creating Lost and being at the helm of both the Star Trek and Star Wars franchises. According to Aoki’s press representative, Abrams contributes an album-closing outro track. So, that’s something, right? Neon Future II comes out May 12 on Dim Mak/Ultra; you can watch a video for the first single, “I Love It When You Cry” featuring Moxie, below.
