Never Shout Never to “recycle” songs on new album, out March 3

Psych-folk-pop-rock wunderkind Christofer Drew, better known as Never Shout Never, has announced details of his next release, Recycled Youth (Volume One). If some of the song titles sound familiar, it’s because they’re not exactly “new.” According to a press representative, “the album is a re-imagining of nine previously released songs but recorded with entirely new styles and instrumentation to make them unique once again. This album is the first installment of what lead singer Chris Drew envisions to be a three part collection of re-recorded fan and band favorites.”

“The way I see it, a song is never completely finished. Re-imagined and evolved with each performance”, Drew said in a statement. “This album is a revamp of some of my favorite NSN songs throughout the years.”

The album was produced by Eric Palmquist (Wavves, Trash Talk) and will be released on March 3 through Warner Bros./Loveway. You can stream the “recycled” version of “On The Brightside” here.
