Before releasing the game-changing LP Sempiternal, Bring Me The Horizon had different roots. Their full-length debut Count Your Blessings was a blistering deathcore album.
Vocalist Oliver Sykes’ consistent performances of such heavy songs resulted in vocal issues. As a result, BMTH’s subsequent releases have focused on new material that allows Sykes to perform without having to strain himself and harm his vocal chords.
Needless to say, it has been a while since fans have heard anything from Count Your Blessings live. The metalcore group surprised concert-goers when they recently performed “Pray For Plagues,” a classic cut from their debut. Former guitarist Curtis Ward also joined in on the fun.
