Choonimals announces its title as the official artwork sponsor of the Vans Warped Tour 2015

Choonimals Clothing Co. (Choonimals) announces its title as the official artwork
sponsor of the Vans Warped Tour® 2015. Known for its irreverent animal illustrations, Choonimals was commissioned to design the promotional artwork to match the upcoming tour’s theme— Misfit Zoo. The custom Choonimals artwork will be integrated into the Vans Warped Tour website, promotional flyers, marketing collateral and key branding points throughout the summer tour grounds, including stages.

“We have always loved the Choonimals brand; they remind us of having fun, and in the animal world it looks like these guys are ready to party,” said Kevin Lyman, CEO and president of the Vans Warped Tour. “Hopefully our partnership exposes Choonimals to a wider audience, while keeping the Vans Warped Tour feeling fresh and new.” Lyman adds, “When people ask who did the artwork, we will be able to say, ‘Our friends at Choonimals, check out their tent!’”
“With the Tour being around for 21 years now, we’ve had many themes ranging from pirates to space bots to monster trucks. In its own way, Warped Tour is very much its own special kind of zoo,” states Allison Skiff, Vans Warped Tour Sponsorship & Marketing. “ Once we identified the Misfit Zoo theme, it only seemed natural to work with Choonimals, a brand that has built its identity on creating fun and original animal characters, and who has been with us on the road for years now.”

Choonimals has participated as a vendor in the Vans Warped Tour since 2010. Since joining the Warped Tour four years ago, the brand has quadrupled its fan base and has become a cult favorite among tour goers. Each fan has a favorite “choonimal” and comes to the show eager to pick up a new t-shirt, stickers and a hand drawn Sharpie “tattoo” from the founding team.
“We are both honored and excited to kick-off our fifth season on tour as the official art sponsor,” said Chris Theibert, cofounder and artist at Choonimals. “We look forward to sharing our new designs and custom tour art with our old fans and new friends,” adds Chad Long, Choonimals’ co-founder and tour manager.
