Today we are bringing you the exclusive premiere of Pyro Ohio‘s “Did I Mention I’m A Hypocrite?”
“This is a song everyone can relate to,” says vocalist Peter Verity. “It’s about having someone in your life that you can’t quite let go of. Just when you think you’re completely over them some little thing happens that makes you think everything will be like it was in the glory days, but realistically that’s just not going to happen. I’ve seen it a thousand times, one day your friend says ‘I’m completely 100% absolutely done with her!’ then two days later they go “We’re back together, it was just a misunderstanding.” If someone ever tells you they’ve never done that, they’re a liar, and probably a hypocrite.”
“The videos are special to me because I was able to film them where I grew up,” continues guitarist Jake Whalen. “To me, it represents culmination of who I was as a kid and who I am now. The main character in the video is on a path to finding a new identity through the events that have taken place; I’m also at a point in my life where changes have presented themselves and I’m trying to figure out exactly where I stand.”
