Dead Leaves Streams “I Was Once An Extrovert”; Announces New EP

Dead Leaves promo 2014

Dead Leaves, have gone to a wealth of change over the past several years. Starting in 2011 with Call It Fiction, Elliot Blair and Alex Tucker rallied the Cleveland pop-punk fan-base to their side. A mainstay at venues like Euro Gyro and The Grog Shop, they entertained modest groups of young adults screaming back the lyrics of their songs with the sort of passion only hometown favorites receive or deserve.

Having gone through member lineups on a yearly basis and eventual name change, they released the Amend Regret EP, one last pop-punk effort. That didn’t end up sticking. Instead, they retooled. They wrote new songs, totally unlike anything in their beloved catalogue. The result of a year’s work has finally culminated in a self-titled EP that has more promise than anything they’ve done so far.

The first song of the EP is streaming today at AbsolutePunk. You can hear “I Was Once An Extrovert” there.

The EP will drop October 21. They will tour regionally in support of the release. Album art and track listing below.
