EXCLUSIVE STREAM: Pilot For A Day – “From Somewhere To Here (Acoustic)”

Better Air (Deluxe Edition) available July 1 featuring three bonus tracks

Pilot For A Day

Taking a full produced track and stripping it down to its roots can be a risky endeavor. Some full band songs just don’t translate well to an old six-string. Some do.

The Kansas City residents are rereleasing their debut album, which was produced by Marc McClusky (Weezer, Ludo, Hit The Lights), on July 1. Stripped-down versions of three of their songs will accompany the release, “From Somewhere To Here (acoustic)” included.

For fans of Mayday Parade, Cartel, Hit The Lights, and Boys Like Girls, Pilot For A Day has been making enjoyable pop-rock tunes since November of 2010. That’s when Nolan Smith (vocals, guitar), Craig Harper (drums, vocals), Brandon Rimmey (guitar), and Harry Datkowitz (bass) joined up.

Assisting on the production of the record were Ludo vocalist Andrew Volpe and Cory Muro (The Composure, BadBoxes, Punchline).

Better Air (Deluxe Edition) will include three new acoustic versions of “Take This Chance,” “A Little More,” and “From Somewhere to Here.”
