Majority of the Taking Back Sunday/The Used co-headliner = sold out. And after shooting Detroit’s sold out show, it’s easy to see why this tour is in demand. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and newness, within each band and the entire tour package. If you’re able to snag tickets for the remaining tour dates, you will not be disappointed.
The setlists for Taking Back Sunday and The Used displayed old fan favorites and songs from their latest album releases. Sleepwave, the opening band of this impressive tour, is a new band fronted by Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain. After Sleepwave’s set, it made me more excited to check out the new album that will be released later this year. Tonight Alive, the other explosive opener within this tour package, managed to convert everyone around me at the show into new fans. I’ve photographed each band before, but this was the perfect lineup, from a photojournalist view and as a longtime fan.
