As the audience of the Chicago stop of Asking Alexandria’s Break Down The Walls Tour started piling into the House of Blues for a sold out show, excitement and anticipation quickly filled the room. Crown The Empire took the stage first, encouraging the crowd to start circle pits and riling them up for the other bands. Next was Chicago natives Born of Osiris, whose energetic performance pumped up the crowd. We Came As Romans took the stage next, and the energy in the crowd grew tenfold. August Burns Red was next, and frontman Jake Luhrs stole the show with his mic swinging and angry vocals. The band that everyone was looking forward to – Asking Alexandria – was next. The band was experiencing technical difficulties for a prolonged period of time, and frontman Danny Worsnop accompanied by guitarists Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell ended up playing a two song acoustic set comprised of “Someone Somewhere” and “The Death of Me”, promising to come back to play a full set sometime in the future.
