Romeo, I Don’t Think We’re in Fair Verona Anymore – Peace Mercutio – ‘You Vs. The World’ EP (Review)

From the birthplace of grunge comes Peace Mercutio, a new band with an old sound. Their newest release, You Vs The World EP, has three and half songs that will take you back in time to the early 2000s when punk rock boomed with the intensity of summer heat. The upbeat rock and roll sound of You Vs The World EP provides a soothing nostalgia graced with a fresh spirit.

Peace Mercutio, about to tour with Emery, successfully continues to make Seattle a music hub. With gang vocals and catchy choruses, the band definitely knows how to deliver a bite sized EP. Their sound brings memories of Warped Tours past flooding back, in a very good way. The songs have relatable lyrics, some beats perfect for a summer drive, and strong vocals. Each track stands out pretty well while still giving the EP an overall solid style.

Any fan of Dookie-era Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41 and New Found Glory will enjoy You Vs The World EP. Punk rock lives on in Peace Mercutio.

You Vs The World is available February 4, 2014.
