Cara Salimando’s whimsical new band, Novelette, has released the highly anticipated debut album, Everything Is Happening Now, via iTunes, Amazon. The album completion was announced via KickStarter which triggered fans to back the project and determine its release date. Not only was Cara able to release her record, but the effort resulted in nearly doubling her initial goal. The debut single “Lost Boys” was accompanied with a VEVO premiere, the video received more than 100k views since it’s release with nearly 70k in the first few days. Novelette was also placed in VEVO’s Emerging Artist playlist.

Aside from performing with Novelette, Cara Salimando is a top line writer currently signed to Glassnote Records’ publishing endeavor, Four Song Night, where she collaborates and co-writes with other artists. Her songs have been placed with Sabrina Carpenter’s (Hollywood Records/Disney Records, Star of ‘Girl Meets World”) forthcoming studio EP, Cheryl Cole on her 2012 album A Million Lights, placement with Quilenez – 2014 release, Daddy’s Groove – single out Spring 2014 on Ultra/Sony, along with being a featured vocalist and writer on Frankmusik’s 2013 album Between, and track “How Do We Know”. Cara Salimando has also written with Dan Wilson, Chris Carrabba, Rob Fusari, Toby Lightman, Anna Nalick, The Invisible Men, John Feldmann, Anne Preven, Frequency, Johanna Fateman and JD Samson.
Spending time on tour, Cara has previously shared the stage with Ingrid Michaelson, Mat Kearney, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Anthony Green and Marc Cohen among others.
