Phoenix, Arizona’s This Century will be heading out on the road this fall to bring the Up Close And Personal Tour across North America. Co-headlining the tour with This Century will be Nick Santino (formerly of A Rocket To The Moon) with his new project Nick Santino & The Northern Wind.
The aim of this tour is to bring the artists as close to the fans as possible. Utilizing smaller venues and numerous meet & greet opportunities, the Up Close And Personal Tour focuses on grassroots efforts and fan appreciation. Fans are in for more than just a typical concert at each show, both bands will be delivering a unique experience.
This Century will be touring in support of their second full-length album Biography of Heartbreak released in May of this year via EightyOneTwentyThree Management to critical acclaim, with MTV positioning them to “bust through the mainstream any day now”. Produced by Colby Wedgeworth (The Maine, Lydia, Lincoln Brewster), Biography of Heartbreak includes hits “Bleach Blonde” and “Skeletons” as well as eleven other original tracks. “We’re always trying to push the limits of what a pop band can be and we feel that we strive to top ourselves each time around,” says guitarist Sean Silverman about the latest release.
Having played many of these markets before, the band is excited to head back out on the road with long time friend Nick Santino. This tour will feature a co-headlining set with a mix of new and old fan favorites.
The strength of their live set has brought them performances on Warped Tour as well as dates with Good Charlotte, The Ready Set, Breathe Carolina and Hey Monday just to name a few. Full of energy and the consistent promise of a great live show, This Century will kick off the fall tour November 20th. With the prospect of an exciting 2014 ahead, the Up Close and Personal Tour is one not to be missed by veteran and newcomer This Century fans alike!
As for Nick Santino & The Northern Wind, fans can expect to hear him play some brand new tunes off of his latest EP, The Ones You Meet Along The Way live for the first time. His highly anticipated solo performances will showcase not only his latest material musically but also a genuinely honest side to the artist. Released just this October, his latest EP hit #4 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. If this early success is any indication, Nick Santino & The Northern Wind is one to watch for in 2014. The Up Close And Personal Tour is a perfect launch for the new project’s first full tour, with the down to earth grassroots vibe that focuses on an area in music that is so often missed; giving back to the fans.
Following the tour, Santino already has dates lined up into 2014 with the likes of Never Shout Never, The Maine, and William Beckett. The unique sound of Nick Santino & The Northern Wind makes it difficult to label with an exact genre; which is exactly what allows for more freedom with respect to touring. His live performance meshes well with a variety of sounds and artists making him a great fit for a variety of tours! With no signs of slowing down, this tour will definitely be one to kick off a busy winter for Nick Santino & The Northern Wind.
