2X4’S “DARK HAND” Review

2x4 cover art

Oklahoma natives, 2×4 released their second EP on July 30th. Recorded with Josh Schroder (For the Fallen Dreams, The Color Morale), the seven tracks offer dark riffs, powerful bellowed vocals, and mosh-worthy breakdowns. “Redefined By Fire” starts the record off on the right foot with extremely heavy, thrash riffs, and seriously aggressive low growls. Vocalist, Micah Hutson said that this record made him deal with the negativity and hatred in his life, resulting in urgent, motivating lyrics. The album is consistent throughout, and maintains chugging guitars, brutal vocals, and a looming, forceful tone. For fans of Emmure and Obey the Brave.
