“Equal parts ethereal and synth pop, The 1975 are undoubtedly a band on the rise, and for good reason” Paste

“Sex is a nearly perfect pop song … a reminder that what’s too often missing from the latest gaggle of synthed-out indie-rock upstarts is swagger.  Frontman Matt Healy has it in spades.” Esquire

“Born-ready anthems” Pitchfork

As the countdown to the release of their eagerly anticipated debut album continues, Manchester art-pop quartet The 1975 have announced details of their extensive, 23 date, headline North American tour. Kicking off in Woodbury, TN in early October and wrapping up in Tucson AZ at the beginning of November, the tour includes two shows at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.

2013 has already been huge for The 1975 with sold out headline tours both in the US and the UK, a support tour across North America with The Neighbourhood, a triumphant week at SXSW and two top 40 hits in the UK’s official single chart for “Chocolate” and “The City”. The band’s self-titled debut album is out this September on Vagrant/ Interscope Records. Co-produced with Arctic Monkeys collaborator Mike Crossey, the record is set to cement The 1975’s status as the breakthrough band of the year.
