AWOLNATION’s juggernaut of a single, “Sail”, from their debut album Megalithic Symphony (Red Bull Records), has officially gone 3X platinum selling over 3,000,000 digital downloads!  The single was also recently certified 4X platinum status in Canada.  Currently at #46 on the Soundscan Hot Digital Tracks top 200 chart, “Sail” is the longest running single on the chart at 110 weeks, and has also been on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for over 40 weeks. Based on Nielsen Soundscan, the song is one of the 20 best-selling Alternative Rock singles of the digital era.  Megalithic Symphony has now been on the charts for more than 100 weeks, topping the Billboard Heatseekers Album chart seven separate times in 2012. Having sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide, the album is also certified gold in Canada.

“Sail” has charted top 5 at Alternative radio, and remains in heavy recurrent rotation at the format.  The track has been licensed numerous times including promos for The History Channel’s Vikings []; the trailer for the film Disconnect []; as well as for use in ad campaigns for CÎROC [] and in this stunning BMW [] commercial.  The official companion video [] for “Sail” has been viewed over 31 million times on YouTube and Vevo.  Additionally, the song has inspired over 104,000 fan-generated videos online accumulating more than 215 million views. Combined across all media, these numbers tally more than 2 billion impressions worldwide.

AWOLNATION was recently nominated for Choice Rock Group at the upcoming Teen Choice Awards this summer. Voting is now open at The telecast will air live from the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 11th from 8-10 PM EST on FOX.

Having toured tirelessly for over 3 years, AWOLNATION have played over 160 shows to over 1 million fans in the last year and a half alone. This summer, they will be appearing at numerous festivals and radio shows in both the U.S. and Europe. Recently, the band announced they would be performing on the main stage at the Sunset Strip Music Festival in West Hollywood, CA alongside Linkin Park and a host of music acts.
