Sub.Live: Atlanta (and Substream) Can’t Enough of William Beckett

Original Showdate: April 25th

Since the release of his first solo EP, Walk the Talk, William Beckett has been on the road constantly to share his music with the world.  Just shortly after the album’s one-year anniversary, Beckett returned to Atlanta to share his music with fans at the Masquerade as support on tour with Relient K.  This spot was one of many touring ventures Beckett embarked on, sandwiched in between a headlining tour and a trip overseas to the UK for Slamdunk Festival.  There’s no end in sight as William Beckett joins the extraordinary list of artists gracing the Acoustic Basement stage on this summer’s Warped Tour.

Turning back to more recent times, at the Masquerade it was a one-man show, with Beckett and his guitar accompanied by additional instrumentals via MacBook.  Beckett showed off his amazing vocal and guitar skills through a collection of his original tunes, which now includes four albums!  Fans were really digging on tunes like “Compromising Me”, “Benny & Joon”, “Scarlett” and “Great Night” along with the short stories Beckett accompanied them with.

Prior to strumming his last tune of the night, Beckett encouraged everyone to come see him at his merch table, so he could meet and chat with everyone.  The crowd was more than happy to oblige, because after all, who wouldn’t want to meet William Beckett and buy the albums that contain his amazing tunes?  Check out the Warped issue of Substream for more William Beckett!
