Dave Elkins, the Virginia Beach native best known as the frontman for Alternative Rock band, Mae has officially launched his new musical venture, Schematic.  Elkins Expands:

“Having my own studio and three years to write, record, and produce my debut solo album has proven to be the only way Color (n.) Inside The Lines could exist.  With Mae enjoying hiatus, I’ve still needed to create, write and put out something showing people what I’m up to.  Having no pretense and no one to cater to, this is the first record I’ve written completely for myself since Mae’s Destination: Beautiful, which is now over 10 years old.  Starting over as an artist with a new record and identity is intimidating. But I’m incredibly proud of this record and I hope I’ll get to connect with people because of it.”

Staying true to the music of Mae, Color (n.) Inside The Lines an 11-track album carries out the same Alternative Rock sound with a hint of Americana/Folk. Fans can download the album for $9.99 at all online retailers and expect physical copies out on the Schematic Tour plus a vinyl in Summer 2013.
