Ohio-based pop-rockers The Glory Game have announced their signing to the newly formed Arkaik Records. The Glory Game will release a new EP titled Get Up & Go this spring via the label, and the band’s first single is currently streaming here. It’s available for purchase on iTunes here.
The Glory Game is the second group added to Arkaik Records’ young roster, joining pop-punk/metalcore act Lakeview, which was announced just two weeks ago.
“We couldn’t be happier to add The Glory Game to our family,” says Arkaik Records vice president Nick Lessells. “The Glory Game has a poppy sound that we think will appeal to almost everyone. Some may say we’re moving pretty fast these first couple months as a label, but in reality we are just really excited to show everyone all of the great bands we have on board.”
As fans can hear over the course of “Gloria,” The Glory Game has a sound that can be compared fairly to the early years of Mayday Parade, Forever The Sickest Kids and Boys Like Girls. Vocalist / guitarist Adam Longworth shines in the spiky pop-punk number, but the song is highlighted by its gang vocal-led chorus.
“It’s an awesome feeling and experience to be part of something new with Arkaik Records,” says bassist Kenny Baker. “We get to do something we’ve always wanted to do and live our dream a little bit longer. We’re looking forward to taking this to the masses.”
