Since it’s almost June, we’re into the season where we start to debate what the coveted “Songs of the Summer” are. There’s an especially strong contender today, with LA pair Coast Modern (Coleman Trapp and Luke Atlas) providing some relaxation and fun with new track “Dive” (via Billboard).

The song is full of bouncy happiness, the kind of low-stakes track that you can put on while you’re laying outside trying to catch a tan (P.S.: wear sunscreen!). The bubbly synths pair well with the extended vocal delivery of the hook and combines to create the kind of sunshine in music that you’re looking for.

“Dive” is taken from the band’s debut album, which is scheduled to arrive sometime this summer from 300 Entertainment / +1 Records. If the rest of the album is anything like “Dive,” you can sign us up.
