Nothing makes our nerdy hearts happier than the fact that Star Wars movies, shows, and comics are back on a yearly basis now. The Force Awakens was excellent, Rogue One was excellent, and we have been insanely excited for Star Wars: The Last Jedi ever since it was announced. After all that anticipation, the first trailer is here.

EDITORIAL: Everything I learned from the early films of George Lucas

The Last Jedi trailer premiered during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, which runs throughout the weekend. We check in on all of our characters, as Rey begins her training with Luke Skywalker, Finn is in recovery after his battle in the The Force Awakens, and Kylo Ren looks angrier than ever with the scar Rey gave him. While she has no lines in the trailer, we see the late Carrie Fisher as Leia from behind. There are scenes of space battles and action galore, but the biggest shock might be that Luke himself is the one that claims that the Jedi must come to an end. Watch the trailer now:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is coming in December. In addition to the trailer, there’s also an amazing poster for the film, found below.
