Portugal. The Man are one of the most prolific bands out there right now. That’s why it’s been a little strange not having a new album from them since 2013’s Evil Friends after they released an album a year from 2006 to 2011. The wait is finally over though, as today the band announced their eighth studio album, Woodstock, and shared a new track called “Number One,” along with a companion video which you can view above.

The new song focuses heavily on vocal harmonies, with a galactic-sounding instrumental that doesn’t kick into high gear until later into the song. It’s also interesting to note we might not have heard the full version of the song, as the video cuts off into a busy tone at the end. Speaking of the video, it features a bunch of kids with some pretty trippy light displays splayed across their faces.

Woodstock arrives on June 16, and pre-orders are already live. We’re sure to hear more from Portugal. The Man as that release date approaches, so stay tuned.
