There are so many big budget films still to come in 2017 that it is incredibly hard to remember them all at any given point in time. The upcoming summer months will have one, two, or perhaps even three potentially massive hits released every week, but few titles have the global appeal of Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight. The series may have fallen off a bit here in the states, but the machines that are more than meets the eye still have a huge following around the world, and earlier tonight we got a new look at what lies in store as the saga of Optimus Prime continues.

In the clip, which premiered during the 2017 Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, audiences are introduced to a group of young children who are new to the Transformers franchise. Among them, one young woman stands out, and in between footage involving the autobots and dinobots we hear her speak about how she is proud to “fight like a girl.” You can view the footage below:

We know the quality of the clip above is not ideal, but a proper HD cut has not yet been made available.

The official synopsis for Transformers: The Last Knight reads:

“The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.”

It’s hard to see Wahlberg’s character return without the presence of his on-screen daughter, who we last saw in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Her character’s exit from the franchise has not yet been explained, but then again – does it really matter? Do people care about the people even half as much as they do the robot carnage?

Whatever the case, we should have an answer as to her whereabouts when Transformers: The Last Knight roars into theaters on June 23. In addition to Wahlberg, the film also stars Isabela Moner, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Stanley Tucci, Laura Haddock and Anthony Hopkins.
