The release dates for music videos can be a funny thing. Sometimes music videos come out close to a year after the album from which the song is taken. That’s fine, but we like seeing new music videos around when the song is released as well. Michelle Branch understands us. Two weeks after she returned with “Hopeless Romantic,” we had the music video. And now, just a week and a half after the second new track “Best You Ever” dropped, we have that music video as well.

The video finds Branch in the studio during the creation of the song. Despite the simple premise, the video is still visually striking thanks to the black-and-white footage and the mirror-like reflections that pop up. The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney also appears in the video, as he helped co-write and produce Branch’s new album along with being her boyfriend.

Speaking of that new album, Hopeless Romantic is out on April 7 through Verve. Pre-orders are still available, and we’re excited to hear more from Branch as that date quickly approaches. In the meantime, watch the video for “Best You Ever” now.
