PWR BTTM is an important band. Liv Bruce and Ben Hopkins are both outspoken supporters of LGBT+ rights and have been vocal about their stance even in the downtime since their debut album, Ugly Cherries, came out in 2015. Today the band dropped a bevy of exciting news on fans with the announcement of their second album, a summer tour, and the release of a new song and music video, “Big Beautiful Day.”

The visuals for “Big Beautiful Day” begin with a text from Hopkins’ mother that contains well wishes for the titular big beautiful day in question. From there, the footage switches between the two going about their usual day and playing during a house show at night. The song itself is the type of raucous celebration that we’ve come to expect from the duo, with a message of being who you are no matter what anyone else says delivered over crashing cymbals and satisfying guitar riffs. A summer tour in support of the album will kick off on May 26 in Toronto and run through the summer.
