Charlotte, North Carolina artist Daniel Howie is just two weeks out from releasing his debut album under the banner of Mouth Sounds. Having already shared the record’s lead single, “In The Night,” he has now teamed up with Substream to release a second taste of the effort with “Everett.”

“This song was my anthem to push me to finish this record,” says Howie. “It was easier said than done after being away from writing, recording, and touring for so long. It has a very undeniable ’90s pop rock vibe to it that takes me back to a safer, less complicated world. I named the song after the piano I wrote the first riff on. It’s a beat-up beast of a box that still has good songs in it. I like to think of myself the same way.”

Give “Everett” a listen below and let us know in the comments what you think of the newest material from Mouth Sounds.

Mouth Sounds’ debut, Sing Or Swim, will be released on February 28 and can be pre-ordered now through iTunes.
