Washington, DC-based alt-pop trio Exnations have a brand new single available, titled “Free,” and today we’ve teamed with the band to share its accompanying visuals. The video follows the band as they tour across the United States and the song couldn’t be a better fit. Recorded by Joe Costable (American Authors, Young Rising Sons), “Free” feels like the uplifting soundtrack to a road trip scene in an indie film as the wind whips through the lead’s hair who just left all their worries behind them. It feels like a song of relief and accomplishment, and for that we’re thankful because that’s the kind of music we need in our lives right now.

“The song is about that growing pain you experience when you’re starting to get older and wish you would have appreciated the ride a little more,” the band says. “The song is about searching for that feeling again. The video candidly follows us from New York City to Los Angeles. Filmed by us for you.”
